The Interuniversity Institute for Molecular Recognition and Technological Development
The IDM was created by the Council of the Valencian Generalitat (Decree 163/2015, of September 25, DOGV of September 29) and its origin arose from the Institute of Applied Molecular Chemistry (IQMA) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Molecular Recognition and Technological Development Research Structure of the University of Valencia.
Objectives
The IDM brings together interdisciplinary knowledge, with specialists in the areas of analytical, organic and inorganic chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacy and pharmaceutical technology, as well as electronic engineers and personnel specialized in electronics. In addition, the IDM has a strategic vocation to consolidate its research experience and to transfer results to the nearest productive environment:

The institute hosts the Scientific Unit for Business Innovation (UCIE-IDM).
This unit promotes the valorisation, transfer and commercialisation of research outcomes generated at IDM.
