About the Initiative
“A Coffee to Inspire” is an annual initiative organized by the IDM to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11th.
This activity aims to highlight the work of women in science and create a supportive environment to foster scientific vocations among young women by sharing the experiences and career paths of our researchers.
Creating opportunities for dialogue between researchers and future generations of scientists.
Our Journey
The project launched with its first edition in 2025, followed by a successful second edition in 2026. We are already looking forward to our third edition in 2027 with great enthusiasm.
2025
I Edition
The first edition marked the beginning of an initiative designed to bring researchers and students together in an open, inspiring environment celebrating women in science.
2026
II Edition
The second edition strengthened the initiative, bringing together new researchers and continuing to inspire scientific vocations through personal experiences and dialogue.
2027
III Edition
The next edition is already in preparation, continuing IDM’s commitment to equality, visibility and scientific outreach.

True to its name, the day concludes with a small gathering over coffee and pastries, providing a relaxed atmosphere for attendees to chat directly with the speakers and exchange impressions.

IDM Commitment
This annual event reflects the ongoing commitment of the IDM, in collaboration with the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and the Universitat de València (UV), to promoting equality and female talent in scientific research.
Through initiatives such as “A Coffee to Inspire”, IDM continues working to increase the visibility of women researchers, encourage scientific vocations and strengthen the connection between science and society.
