Carmen Jerónimo

Professor Carmen Jerónimo is Director of the IPO Porto Research Center and Head of the Cancer Biology and Epigenetics Group at the Portuguese Oncology Institute of Porto. She is also an invited professor of Molecular Pathology and Genetics at the University of Porto. Her research focuses on tumour-cell epigenomics, cancer-associated epigenetic alterations, biomarkers and epigenetic therapies. She has supervised numerous doctoral and master’s students, holds a patent related to bladder-cancer detection and has contributed to more than 250 scientific publications.

Nathan D. McClenaghan

Dr. Nathan D. McClenaghan is a CNRS Research Director at the University of Bordeaux. He obtained his PhD at Queen’s University Belfast in supramolecular photochemistry and completed postdoctoral research in inorganic photochemistry and self-assembled fullerenes. His current work focuses on photochemical and photophysical processes in synthetically designed supramolecular architectures. He has also served as vice-president of the French Chemical Society’s Supramolecular Chemistry and Photochemistry groups.

Nako Nakatsuka

Dr. Nako Nakatsuka is a tenure-track assistant professor at the EPFL Neuro-X Institute and leads the Chemical Nanotechnology Laboratory. Her multidisciplinary research lies at the intersection of chemistry, engineering and neuroscience, developing translational technologies for human health and brain disorders. She completed her PhD at UCLA and postdoctoral research at ETH Zurich. Her recognitions include MIT Innovators Under 35, the iCanX Young Scientist Award, the ACS Nano Lectureship and the Prix Zonta.

Wei Gao

Dr. Wei Gao is an assistant professor of Medical Engineering and an Institute Investigator at the California Institute of Technology. He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, followed by postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley. His research covers wearable sensors, bioelectronics, flexible electronics and micro/nanorobotics. He has received numerous early-career and technical awards and has been recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher and a member of the Global Young Academy.
