Researchers from the NANOSENS Group of the Institute for Molecular Recognition and Technological Development (IDM_UPV_UV) are participating in the BioTubeROI project, a strategic innovation initiative carried out in cooperation with other partners. The project integrates advanced technologies for the controlled release of bioactive molecules, with the aim of developing new biopesticides to protect olive trees against repilo and olive tuberculosis. These biopesticides are based on active ingredients of botanical and microbiological origin, using an innovative release system and intelligent molecular gates.
In parallel, this research will be complemented by the development of a new non-invasive sampling technique for pest detection through drone-based remote sensing.

Researchers from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) have received funding of €169,396.66 from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE+i, Generalitat Valenciana), through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme of the Valencian Community 2021–2027 (INNEST/2025/308).
Through this initiative, IDM renews its commitment to technological innovation, health security, and sustainability.
