IDM Continues to Advance in Innovation

Researchers from the SYM Group of the Institute for Molecular Recognition and Technological Development (IDM_UPV_UV) are participating in the CLARA project, a strategic collaborative initiative that integrates advanced detection and treatment technologies in reused water and healthcare environments. Its main objective is to ensure microbiological safety, protect public health, and meet sustainability and resilience goals in the face of climate change, while also developing a predictive model based on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to enable early warning systems for catastrophic events or serious health threats.

The project is carried out in collaboration with four other strategic partners:

  1. Aguas de Alicante
  2. La Fe Health Research Institute (IIS La Fe)
  3. Crespo Printing Group
  4. NUNSYS Group

Researchers from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) are receiving funding of €225,030.00 from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE+i, Generalitat Valenciana), through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme of the Valencian Community 2021–2027 (INNEST/2025/76).

Through this initiative, IDM strengthens its commitment to technological innovation, health security, and sustainability, reinforcing cooperation between science, industry, and society.
