This research group focuses on the design, control, and optimization of renewable energy systems, with particular emphasis on photovoltaic installations, photovoltaic pumping, and small-scale wind energy. Its work integrates artificial intelligence to improve the management, maintenance, and performance of energy production systems, alongside the development of electronic converters, interfaces, and solar and wind emulators. The group also advances distributed generation based on renewable sources and designs remote monitoring and telemetry systems, incorporating intelligent algorithms to enhance operation and maintenance processes. In parallel, the group addresses power quality and energy efficiency in electrical systems, including grids, microgrids, and smart grids. It develops hybrid generation and compensation solutions, real-time measurement systems, and web-based monitoring platforms, as well as selective and adaptive intelligent algorithms aimed at ensuring high-quality energy supply and optimizing energy management.
